United African Association (UAA)

Today we had a great morning, as we were invited to NLive Radio to talk about our association and the 7-a-side football tournament we are organising at the Racecourse on Saturday 30th May.

We had the pleasure of speaking with Rebecca Steers about the work carried out by the United African Association and the different ways we support the community.

We focused mainly on our foodbank operation, where we currently support over 60 households each week. We also spoke about our community allotment project, where we are cultivating African kale and other vegetables from Africa, adapting traditional growing methods to the British environment and climate.

Everyone is welcome to get involved with the allotment project. If you are interested in joining, please call 07783189911 and speak with Pedro.

Regarding the football tournament, it will be a one-day 7-a-side competition, starting and finishing on the same day. We are still happy to welcome more teams to take part. If interested, please contact 07783189911.

Many thanks to NLive Radio and to Rebecca Steers for inviting us and giving us the opportunity to share our work with the wider community.
