We are pleased to share the success of our recent DIY Programme, organised by the United African Association and delivered with the support of our volunteers.

The session focused on practical household skills to help participants manage their homes safely, cleanly, and cost-effectively. Topics included fixing a dripping tap, basic painting techniques, proper use of a plunger, and creating organic insect sprays using simple household ingredients.

🛠️ An interactive exhibition area was also set up, where participants explored tools, materials, and homemade solutions, making the learning experience engaging and hands-on.

💬 The session sparked great discussions, with participants asking questions, sharing experiences, and contributing useful tips—from tap fittings and water flow to humane pest control and keeping food bins clean and hygienic.

👏 Overall, the event was informative, interactive, and very well received. It was great to see such enthusiasm, curiosity, and community spirit throughout the session.

A big thank you to everyone who took part and contributed to making this programme a success!
