What an amazing community event we had last Saturday, 22 August 2026! 🎉⚽🥁

The football tournament organised by United African Association (UAA) was a great success, with teams from Northamptonshire Police, the Ambulance Service, Pinnacle and UAA taking part.

After some exciting matches, Northamptonshire Police reached the men’s final against the Ambulance Service, who went on to win the tournament. We also had an exciting women’s match between Northamptonshire Police Women and UAA Women, which ended in a draw.

The day was made even more special by Power of the Mind Networks, who performed traditional Muchongoyo dance, and DFK Community Hub, who supported the children’s arts table and helped with the music area, where people enjoyed drumming, singing and jamming together. 🎶

A big thank you to Rita, a good friend of the charity, for preparing delicious jollof rice for everyone to enjoy. 🍚❤️

We would especially like to thank Sophia Perveen, Community Engagement Officer, and Superintendent Rachael Handford, Northampton Area Commander, Northamptonshire Police, for their collaboration, support and kind donation which helped make the event possible.
