Today (08/04/2026), a group of United African Association (UAA) members took part in a foraging activity. Foraging means going out into nature and learning how to identify wild plants and other natural ingredients that can be safely used for food, teas, or even cakes.
It was amazing to discover how much edible produce could be found in such a small area. Activities like this reflect UAA’s commitment to promoting healthy eating and wellbeing through connecting with nature.
We would like to sincerely thank Kathleen from Grow Cook Eat and Lizzy Mary-Jane from Tellus Mater for leading the session. At the end of the walk, we came together to cook and share a meal using some of the ingredients we had collected earlier.
