On Monday, we travelled to London to mark the United Nations International Day of Peace at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden.

It was a wonderful evening of conversations about peace, understanding and what brings our communities together. It was especially lovely to meet His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, the 93-year-old spiritual guru, as well as a bishop from the Church of England. We also had the pleasure of meeting James Ömer Bridge, Secretary-General and Chief Executive of the UK National Commission for UNESCO.

Thank you to Sophia Perveen, Raj Ladwa and everyone at the Mandir for welcoming us. Seeing people of different faiths and backgrounds come together was a powerful reminder that peace starts with listening to one another. 🕊️
