At the United African Association (UAA), we provide safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces where people can connect with others, feel supported and take part in activities that improve their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.
We understand that loneliness, isolation, stress and difficulties adjusting to life in a new community can have a real impact on people’s health. Our wellbeing activities are designed to help people feel more connected, build confidence and improve their overall quality of life.
Our wellbeing programme includes a range of activities such as:
Our activities are about more than keeping active. They give people opportunities to make friends, reduce isolation, share experiences and feel part of the community.
Many people who come to UAA may be experiencing loneliness, language barriers, financial difficulties or challenges accessing services. Our team and volunteers provide a friendly environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
Our wellbeing activities support people from different backgrounds and communities, including older people, families, refugees, migrants and anyone who may be feeling isolated or in need of additional support.
You do not need to face challenges alone. Whether you would like to improve your health, meet new people, learn something new or simply spend time in a welcoming environment, UAA is here for you.
Come along and take part in one of our wellbeing activities, meet new people and become part of a supportive community.
