UAA was pleased to attend the parents’ meeting organised by Cllr Fartun Ismail at Vernon Terrace Community Centre, bringing parents, community members and representatives from statutory services together to discuss youth safety and welfare.
It was good to meet those responsible for delivering services and addressing these concerns, and to have the opportunity for direct conversations.
This could be the beginning of something useful—provided the discussions lead to clear answers, practical solutions and meaningful action. What happens next will be important for young people and their families.
As a first step, this is an initiative UAA is happy to support and be involved in. Thank you to Cllr Fartun Ismail and everyone who contributed. We look forward to seeing the conversations turn into positive change. 💛
